Experimental Build

Because people seem interested and are joining the Discord, we decided to upload an experimental build with our WIP changes.

Art, music and sound are very wip - but tweaks to movement are much further along. Some quick notes:

Cheats

  • 1, 2, 3 - Boost up, forward, down
  • 4 - Teleport
  • 5, 6 - Min/max speed
  • 7 - Reset fatigue
  • 8, N - Reset to checkpoint
  • 9 - Die
  • U - Go to super secret test level

Options Menu / Tutorial

  • Tutorial level and "how to play" menu have not been updated.
  • Music & SFX sliders don't work (we're moving to a new sound system).
  • Music is disabled by default, but there is a button to activate it in the level. It's a test version based on player velocity.
  • "Show Debug" option added

 Movement

Parkour Move Detection

  • Should be more reliable overall. (Vaulting, speed vault, bar swing, wall run)
  • Could have new bugs

Jumping

  • Double jump removed
  • Variable jump height added (hold space to jump higher, max height after 0.3 seconds)
  • Tapping space is the same as a regular jump in the old build. Holding space fully is around the height of a well-timed double jump.

Speed & Velocity

  • Running up/down slopes affects movement speed.
  • Movement speed affects jump strength (when moving above the regular max run speed).
  • Slide edge boosting is stronger (especially at higher speeds).
  • Wallruns retain velocity better.

Sliding

  • Slide jumping when at high speeds and after going down a big slope is REALLY strong. But tbh it's fun. Let us know though.
